PRAY FOR LYDIA
Doing ministry in this climate is a complicated thing. Between Instagram posts, Facebook posts, zoom calls, and text messages...where is the real connection? Sometimes it is hard to see, but I am thankful to know the Holy Spirit is still at work.
During this crisis, I have a student who has continued to reach out more than ever. Lydia specifically asked me to pray for her the other night when she was having dark thoughts. This is a HUGE step for her. Instead of isolating or being passive-aggressive in behavior, Lydia was direct and allowed me to pray for her in the midst of her struggle. She has also started a Bible reading plan online called, “Healing of Depression through the Psalms,” after being prompted to use the Bible App from one of our leaders. Let’s pray for healing for this student. I am excited for her to dive deeply into Jesus during this time.
